Diamond Harbour Women’s University

Diamond Harbour Women’s University was established on 28th January 2013 and started its academic programmes from 2014-2015. It is one such university in the region which caters to the needs of the girl students. The University initially started with 2- year, 4- semester PG courses in six subjects; Bengali, English, History, Political Science, Education and Women’s Studies. The mission of this University is to contribute to economic, social, intellectual and cultural development of the country through the development and upliftment of the girl student. Students can undertake PG courses in science and arts and also do their PhD in various subjects.
